I am an artist too(traditional who is learning digital), but I must ask what do you think at, when you choose the colors (intensity, vibrancy, saturation/desaturation, how many reds versus blacks, et cetera). Thank you very much - you are a great painter.
Im referring at - what is your plan before laying color? Are you thinking on something specific when you choose a certain pallet of colors? Or you use a reference for the colors(like looking on some classical paintings that you like, or just contemporary photography that have a certain spectrum that you like) ? I know you 80% of the time use the colors intuitively but you think from time to time, like: "-Oh, that color is not good there, ill change it with something more vibrant... etc". The starting feeling when you begin to paint - are you thinking "- I want this piece to have a lot of contrast, be in contra-jour, have some very bright highlights, the dominant to be red, or black, or equilibrate the two, etc". You usually make a little plan before starting to paint something. That is what I asking. But I am reffering in general not in this particular case. Thank you.
